Unusual 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible
Here is a 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera found in Bullhead, Arizona.  This car  has a very unusual body kit consisting of a slant nose front end with Testarossa side strakes and a un-Porshce like angular rear end.   Could this be a Koenig Body kit from the 1980s?
This car has 58,000 miles on the odometer and is said to drive “awesome.” Â Unfortunately, this car has a salvage title which was due to a minor front end damage according to the seller. Â I think its worth investigating especially with such an interesting body kit. Â This could be a diamond in the rough. Â Its worth checking the VIN number as well. Â At some point in time , someone loved this car and invested time, energy , and probably a lot of money to give this car that special look. Â I am sure the majority would say it is hideous but I think these cars of the 1980s should be documented. Â Remember aftermarket companies like Ruf, Koenig, Strosek, Gemballa ? Â They made some wild versions and I often wonder where those cars are now. Â I think the majority of these conversions were hideous but its fun to look back back at a previous decade. Â For that reason , I wouldn’t mind owning one today.
