ONE OF A KIND IN THE WORLD * ONE OFF * SPIDER COUPE * Testarossa spider coupe with electrically opening-closing roof system.
This Icon, borne in 1986, original version Central Lock (built only for one year between the end of 1986 and 1987) was sold to the first owner who shipped it directly from Ferrari to a famous German Factory (the same that some years later developed the hard-top open of the SLK Mercedes) to equip this Testarossa with the unique and amazing electrically system to obtain an incredible spider from the standard Testarossa and in case of rain… Not necessary to take out some rigid plastic parts or close a soft top over.
Masterpiece rare and interesting of this Testarossa regards the visible engine solution, ever used before from Ferrari, with the plexiglass cover on the rear hood.
To open the top there is an opening movement of both side blades, after the roof slides backwards over the engine hood and in the end all the roof, including the rear window and both the rear side windows come down inside the body. All the process takes about 1 minute and 20 seconds.
The car was sold at the current owner on 2014 an it was totally restored until 2021. The works were made by Ferrari garage and everything was done, the body, all mechanic parts including the complicated electro-hydraulic system of the top, to finish with the renovation of the customized interior.
