Spotted in New York is a 1955 Porsche Pre-A Speedster for $189,000 USD. This is one of the cheapest Speedsters I have seeen come up for sale in a while. It is being offered for private sale is this stunning 1955 pre-A Porsche Speedster. Black plate car, restored in late 1980’s in California. Car was finished 2010-2015 by Meister Restoration, Center Barnstead, N.H.
The car was completed in January 1955 and shipped to the US with sealed beam headlamps and speedometer calibrated in miles. This car among the earliest Speedsters built. Body color Sky Blue with gray-blue (Firenze Grey) top, boot and side curtains. (See Page 157, Heinrich’s Speedster book). The car has been meticulously restored to original condition. Includes five correct date stamped 16 inch wheels and a correct low bow top. full flow oil filter making it a very comfortable and responsive driver.
Car is housed within a home and driven some times a year.
This may be the only blue Speedster extant with correct boot and top material special order milled in Germany with herring bone underside.

It has been in a temperature sensitive storage away from the elements. The odometer shows 82,006 original miles. Â
