1995 Mercedes 500GE Designo

Spotted for sale is a 1995 Mercedes 500GE Designo for $59,999 USD. The seller imported this car from Japan in the fall of 2018. As you may already know, the 500GE is a rather unique Mercedes model in the history of the W463 G Wagons. This is one of the first production V8 Gelandewagens ever produced, with fewer than 500 ever built in 1993/1994. These were never originally for sale in North America. It features a 5.0 M117 V8 (MB realized that the M119 didn’t fit in the W463 engine bay), 4 speed automatic transmission with high / low transfer case and locking center and rear differentials. The exterior is metallic purple with very few blemishes. The wheels are rare late ’90s AMG 18″ wheels with brand new Continental tires. The interior is in great shape (no rips or tears in the leather) and features power front heated seats, cold air-conditioning, and hot heat. All panels are the original Designo two tone black and gray leather.
