1978 Lamborghini Espada III

Spotted in California is a 1978 Lamborghini Espada III for $75,000 USD.   This is an ultra rare 1978 model Series 3 car with only 8,000 original miles (13K Kilometers.)  According to the seller this is believed to be the only example known to exist in the USA.   The Lamborghini factory stopped shipping Espadas to the USA in 1976 but continued to be built until 1978.  This car was purchased from Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from a Saudi Royal Prince.  At the time of purchase the car had only 6000 Kilometers but currently reads 13,000 Kilometers.  It was shipped from the port of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Laspezia , Italy and then eventually arrived at the Port of Los Angeles/ Long Beach during the summer of 1982.   The DOT standards were done by Albert Merdikian Engineering in Newport Beach, California known for building the Ferrari Spider in Miami Vice. This car has undergone a fully restored leather interior which includes the seats, dash and panels.  The Espada was serviced and maintained by South Coast Ferrari of Orange County, California with all records included with the car.  The 12 cylinder engine was completely rebuilt by South Coast Ferrari from the ground up including 6 brands new Four Barrel Weber Carburetors (old ones are still on the car) for a total cost of $40,000 USD (receipts included).   The engine will need service before restarting and the broken windshield will have to be replaced.    The car is rust free and has been in dry storage since 1990.   It has a clean California Title with original owners manual along with a signed letter from Ferrucio Lamborghini stating the market it was originally manufactured for.   There is a 2 inch thick folder of all original documents.    The car was purchased by the seller in 1982 and is a 1 owner vehicle since it arrived in the USA.  It does not run at the moment and will need servicing. What do you think of this car?
