I was always disappointed to find out parts were sourced from a cheaper inferior car.   Its one thing to be informed but to spot the part from a less desired car is depressing. The Virage  was considered a heavy car even though it was all aluminum body.   It could reach a top speed of 158 mph.   Shockingly, the 5 speed ZF manual transmission was fitted to only 40% of the cars.   The more popular option was to order the automatic transmission with a Chrysler 3 speed Torqueflite transmission.    In 1993, the 3 speed was upgraded to a 4 speed automatic.    Later a 6 speed manual transmission was offered late in the production run.  The 6 speeds are the ones to own. To this day, I cant stand the way Aston Martin names their model line up.   Its so confusing. Aston Martin had the Virage and its high performance counterpart is the Vantage in 1993.    The Vantage was later referred to only has the V8 Coupe starting in 1996

This car has been considered in almost near perfect condition. It is truly a time capsule. It has been stored in a suburb of Chicago since 1975. There is minor rust around the battery box which is one of the first places to find rust. It was purchased in May of 1957 and racked up 25,000 miles form 1957 to 1975. The original owner passed away 5 years ago and a family friend purchased the car from the estate. The car has the original paperwork. porsche-911-america-roaster-10 1992 Porsche 911 America Roadster Factory Turbo Body (964 Model) Odometer: 144,800 miles Black Manual Transmission 6 cylinder Condition: Excellent Price: $69,900 US Dollars Click Here for Ad I saw one of these in dark blue sell less than a year ago for $79,000. The prices seem to have climbed to $100k since then. This one is discounted due to the higher miles. I still think its worth it due to the rarity of the America Roaster. Only 250 were made for the US markets from 1992 to 1993. Its a good looking car and should hold its value very well.

1955 Powell Truck

1955 Powell Truck 6 cylinders Rear Wheel Drive Manual Transmission Blue Rebuilt Title Price $9,000 US dollars I dont think I have ever seen a Powell Truck or ever heard of one. Only 1 picture was given in the ad. This car was built by the Powell Manufacturing Company in Compton, California. PMC was widely known for motor scooters that were popular in the 1940s. Between September 1954 and March 1957 they manufactured Sport Wagons. They were built on modified Plymouth chassis. Overall PMC built approximately 1,200 pickup trucks total. Its always fun for me to do research on a car that may not be an appreciating classic but something that deserves to be recognized as automotive history. Click Here for Ad   In Motor Life magazine, Oct 1955 issue, the PMC truck was called “an obvious choice as one of the most interesting and unique automobiles in the U.S.” In the February 1956 issue of Motor Trend, magazine co-founder Walt Woron concluded his article: “The Powell Brothers, then, have succeeded in their purpose: to provide a vehicle that ‘… can’t be beat for general utility…[that makes] the perfect runabout or 2nd family car…'”
