1992 Mercedes 500E
Spotted in Riverside, California is a 1992 Mercedes 500E for $8,999 USD. This may turn out to be a great deal but it will need some work to get it back to a show car. It has rust issues and will need hood, roof , and trunk repainted. I would suggest budgeting for a full respray. It has 215,000 miles which can turn alot of buyers away but if properly maintained these are solid engines. The seller has replaced replaced the distributor caps, the high pressure fuel lines and the diagnostic module (cooputer) to prepare the car for sale. The car has already passed smog on 5/2/17. He also has the title in his name and shows it is a clean no salvage car. Registration is current until 3/24/18. The original 16″ wheels are included with the sale but there are AMG wheels (see pictures) that can be purchased for an additional fee.
The 500E was produced in 1992 and 1993 like the one you see here.  The last year of production was the 1994 model which was made in low numbers.  It was now called the E500 and  had 1 year only cosmetic upgrades which included updated headlights, a new hood and grille as well as a revised rear trunk lid.  Also horsepower was a 7 hp  lower than the earlier years.  The 1994 models had larger front and rear brakes than 1992 and 1993 models, courtesy of the R129 SL600 roadster.
