This is believed to be a true factory E60. Â I see no reason to doubt it. Only 126 of these rare cares were produced by Mercedes. AMG re-engineered the reliable M119 5.0 litre V8, increasing capacity to 6.0 litres and boosting power by almost 100hp.

These cars were the ones I lusted for as a teenager.  This is offered for sale by Mendel’s Garage in Philadelphia, PA.   They are a reputable dealer and always have interesting classics.  If this is a real E60 then this is super rare because  only 12 were built.   The last 500 1994 E500 cars were called “limited edtions. ”  Only 200 were painted silver and 300 were painted midnight blue.  AMG took 12 of the “limited edition” cars and bored out the engines to create the E60.   If this is truly one of those cars, any AMG collector would die to have one in their garage.
This car is a 1991 but had the front hood/ grill of a 1994-1995 Â W124 model. Â Â It also does not have the duck tail spoiler. Â This car is beautiful in black with black interior. Â the giant door speaker grills are typical of the 80’s . Â I dont hate but I wonder whats behind those grilles. Â I love the AMG 3 piece wheels on this car. Â Â There are alot of people that get nostalgic for these cars and I am one of them.
