1984 VOLVO 242 TURBO ITB ITE HISTORIC SCCA RACE CAR Ex-SCCA ITB Volvo 242 race car. Turn key: starts, runs and drives well. Currently set-up for ITE (SCCA) or vintage (Group A clone). 2.3L turbo charged, intercooler, custom fuel system (larger injectors, 2nd high pressure FI tank in trunk), dry sump oil system, stainless braided fuel and oil lines, MSD ignition, Volvo ECU, Saenz close ratio (4-speed)-dog box, custom radiator (Ron Davis) with a 2nd smaller radiator not hooked up also installed in trunk, custom aluminum drive shaft, custom exhaust, custom rear 3-link with adjustable coil overs, double adjustable front strut inserts with coil overs, ground control adjustable camber plates, strut brace, front, rear sway bars, Wilwood calipers, drilled brake rotors, brake ducting, dual Tilton brake master cylinders with brake bias, 2 sets of Team Dynamic wheels (15 inch) with older Hoosier tires (275/50/15), Fiberglass hood, fiberglass custom front end , AIM Mychron 3 Plus dash, full complement of aftermarket gauges, pull off steering wheel, Kirkey seat, fire system, cut-off switch, expired safety belts, SCCA approved full cage. Mike Saccone (Volvo mechanic) raced the car in ITB with some success in NorCal. Not sure if he did the engine swap (ITB was all naturally aspirated back in the day).
