1984 TVR Tasmim 280i
Here is a 1984 TVR Tasmim 280i for sale in Denver, Colorado for sale.  The seller is a little coy with his ad.  He is asking people to submit cars they would like to trade for a Ford Consul Capri, Triump GT6, Ford Cortina MK1 GT , or an old Mini Cooper.  It looks to be in good condition but will need the top recovered as well as new injectors.
The TVR Tasmin otherwise known as the TVR 280i was a sports car designed by the thhe TVR company from the United Kingdom from 1980 to 1987. Â It was founded by Trevor Wilkinson who took the fourth and last letters of his firs t name to name the company. Â They were available as a 2 seater Coupe, a 2+2 Coupe , and a 2 seater convertible. Â Much of the running gear was sourced from Fords of the period. The suspension and steering was sourced from the Ford Cortina, with TVR engineered rear wishbones. Gearboxes were from the Cortina, Granada, and Sierra. Brakes were discs all round, with the front units from the Granada. The differential (and rear brakes) was from the Jaguar XJ-S.
Plagued with problems over the production run , there were only 1,167 V6 cars produced.  In 1982 , TVR production reached a low of only 121 cars produced.  There were  862 convertibles produced with an estimated 400 to 500 cars reached the USA.
