Spotted for sale in Sacramento is a 1979 BMW 323I Hartge E21 for $18,000
Have you ever wanted to find that car that has provenance? Unlike so many overly restored, clone, and tributes etc… those cars are parts catalogue builds. What I have on offer is a true grey market European delivery and race car driver ( Herbert Hartge group 5) tuner modified BMW from back in the day. Have German TUV, importation, Dealer invoice, and the modification spec documents supplied by Hartge with letter and 1982 date showing this vehicle was delivered to their shop.
Currently the car has a 2.5 M20 EFI engine conversion running a Hartge Motronic L-Jetronic. The other engine included is a 2.3 Hartge engine complete with fuel system and wiring harness. Should you want to return the car to the mechanical fuel injection and run the 2.3 engine, you can. The current engine swap has been taken to CA BAR for approval. Passes SMOG and is one step away from final sign off. I have not done this cause once done, In CA you can never go backwards with the original Hartge engine. That is if you as the new custodian choose to or not.
See the pictures and decide if this historical car is right for your collection.
Leave an intelligent reply with a phone number that I can actually reach you at to discuss in greater detail.

Currently CARB approved and certified to run the 2.3 engine.
