1978 Lotus Esprit Full Restoration
Spotted in Boston is a 1978 Lotus Esprit Full Restoration for $29,995 USD. This is a complete restoration by the seller in its original British Racing Green with new biscuit leather interior. All wheels have been refinished and in perfect condition. The owner has an MA clean title in hand and all serviced records from new. It has all its original glass and the gas tanks were recently refurbished.
The 1978-1981 cars are referred to as the S2 or Second Generation cars. These cars had special Speedline alloy wheels designed for the Lotus. This car has those wheels restored and intact. The S2 cars had their battery relocated from above the right side fuel tank (under the rear quarter window) to the rear of the car, adding an access door to the engine cover, as well as replacing the instrument cluster made by Veglia with individual gauges made by Smiths and using different style of switches on the dashboard.
