1974 Lola Chevy T332 Formula 5000 vintage race car for $149,000
In the 1970s Formula 5000 was a professional road racing series using stock block 5 liter (5000cc) displacement with the Z/28 302 Chevy engine being the most popular.
The series ran on ROAD COURSES in North America with many Indy car drivers competing. Names like Mario Andretti, Al and Bobby Unser, Johnny Rutherford and others drove identical cars to this.
Several constructors built cars but without doubt the most successful was Lola’s model T332.
This car was constructed in the summer of 1974 by Lola Cars Ltd of Huntingdon England. It was raced in the North American F5000 series 1974-75 by Indy Car driver Jerry Karl.
