This is an Italian delivery car, not USA Spec. The differences include Smaller side marker lights, no pollution control and originally no side mirrors. After purchasing in the Early 80’s the car was the focus of a single car collection. It was not driven in the winter and as a result has minimal rust relative to what is normally seen on un-restored cars. The owner stored it indoors and changed oil frequently.
This car is largely untouched and original. It is numbers matching, the engine turns freely and cold compression tests show 135-140 per cylinder. After sitting more than 5 years the Dino will need complete servicing or full restoration prior to road use.
Per F-register and mounting points, this was a covered headlight car. I have a set of plexi covers that can be fit and come with the car. The radio is a Voxson Sonar and the car comes with its original jack and bag. Books and toolkit were lost at some point and not there. In the front, the battery box cover, spare tire and hold down are included.
Ferrari Dinos have become one of the most sought-after collector cars on the market, with euro cars commanding a premium over US cars. I’ve decided to let this one go as I have too many projects going at once.
The car is located in Amelia Island, FL and can be inspected at my home with appointment. I’ve been doing video chat either by WhatsApp or Facetime with a little advanced notice.
