If your looking to build one of these you’ll not find one in better condition. The ’68 is arguably the most desirable of the 2nd gen charger body style. This one is originally bright blue poly with black top and guts. Unfortunately as most are vinyl top cars this one met the same fate as all the others with a vinyl top. Moisture got trapped under the top and rusted out the roof skin and that allowed water to get to all the floors and trunk as usual. The good news is this cars body has gone thru a complete restoration and is now better than new. The pictures are self explanatory but here is a narrative to go with them. All the rusty panels were cut out, the insides of the exposed frame rails (all 4 are still original) and torsion bar cross member were blasted, coated in a rust preventative chemical and then sprayed with 2 coats of epoxy primer. They are better than new as the factory did not even do that. All new AMD floors, trunk floor, trunk drops offs, full quarters, roof skin and rear deck filler panel with lower plenum, new front and rear valance and valance corners, new hood, new tail light panel and new inner and outer wheel houses. The fenders and doors are original and have been blasted and sprayed in 2 coats of epoxy primer. The insides of the quarters were undercoated then painted to mimic what factory did prior to putting on the car. The outsides of the wheel houses were primed and painted to insure long term durability. The entire underside, trunk and floors have been painted in the correct bright blue poly that the car is coded for. The rear end housing, backing plates and leaf springs were blasted and sprayed in 2 coats of black epoxy primer. I also have almost every single part needed to build the car. All trim, complete 440 engine (needs rebuilt-NOT ORIG TO THIS CAR) and 727 torqueflight trans (needs rebuilt-NOT ORIG TO THIS CAR). A correct set of bucket seats and rear seat. Console and shifter. Orig steering column and gauge setup with tic-toc-tac. Orig 8-3/4″ rear end with 3:23 posi. Power steering, disc brake AC car. All glass and glass hardware except windshield. Orig fender tag and dash vin plate. Body stampings match fender tag and build sheet. Includes nice orig RT grill. Also includes new bumpers and door panels. 

Before u complain about the price call AMD and ask them to quote all this work. It will be pretty close to my price AND it wont include the cost of the car.

You always have to pay for quality but you only cry once. This car is put together BETTER than the factory did and will be a great investment for whatever is done with it.
