Body-off restoration of a 50-plus-year-owned 1967 Lotus Elan Series 3 drophead coupe (convertible). Original 1558 cc Twin-cam engine now 1615 cc, twin Weber 40DCOE carbs, Norris high lift, long duration camshafts, oversize inlet & exhaust valves, ceramic-coated header with stainless exhaust, baffled sump, high-torque gear reduction starter, Denso alternator, Odyssey AGM battery relocated to center-forward of trunk, Pertronix ignition & rev limiter, Facet electric fuel pump, 4-speed semi-close ratio gearbox, 4-wheel independent suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes, Spax front shocks, Koni rear shocks, conversion to CV-joint half-shafts (no rubber donuts). Frame stripped, reinforced and powder-coated. Flared fenders for wide wheels (13×7 spun aluminum) & tires (Toyo Proxes RA1 205/60R13).
New interior (seat covers, door cards, carpeting, dashpad) by Dan Miller, solid cherry wood dash with GPS speedometer, shift-light tach, oil pressure, water temp, voltmeter, & fuel gauges, 200W audio system, hidden antenna, stock Clear Hooters plus Fiamm air horns. Auxiliary switches for radiator fan, garage door opener, ignition, horns, hazard lights, & fuel pump.
Body painted 2-stage Audi Ice Silver Metallic, new red 1/4 tonneau (boot) & black Robbins top. New windscreen & rubber seal. Body de-badged, only Jim Clark Commemorative nose badge remains (have original badges). Original spare wheel & tire, jack, knock-off hammer, some original tools.
