These is a 1959 XK150S project thats stalled. The seller wants to let it go and concedes he spent too much at this point. He is ready to walk away and let someone else finish it. The car is in a full restoration and looks immaculate. It should not be that difficult to go the distance to finish up the car.
Jaguar made these cars in Coventry, England between 1957 and 1961. It was the replacement for the XK140. The Drophead Coupe were launched in 1958. The “S” engine is a 3.4 Liter with 3 2 inch (51 mm) SU HD8 carburetors and straight port cylinder head increased power to a claimed 250 SAE bhp.
Fun Fact: the XK140 (previous model) had a walnut dashboard while the XK150 was given a leather trimmed one instead.
Fun Fact: 1960, the engine was bored out to 3.8 liters with a rating of 220 hp in standard tune and 265 hp in “S” form
Fun Fact: Production ended in October 1960. A total of 2265 Roadsters and 4445 Fixed Head Coupes and 2672 Drophead Coupes.
It requires final assembly.
Paint: done cut and polished
Chromium done and installed save grill and bonnet strip which has been chromed but not installed..
Wiring: New loom installed/not connected
Heater/blower restored not installed.
Engine/trans: installed save carbs which are rebuilt/polished but not installed
Headliner: new and installed
Dash and instruments: restored but not installed
Interior new not installed. Seats in vinyl should be restored in leather.
Brakes: not installed
Wooden floors new unpainted.
Tires new and mounted on chromium 16″ wheels
Full documentation including Jaguar heritage certificate and receipts documenting $85k plus invested to date. Prefer trades of significance.
