1955 Porsche Speedster Project
Spotted is a 1955 Porsche Speedster Project for $250,000 USD. The seller states this car is complete other than the interior and top fabric. It will come with a 56-58 carpet kit. The speedster already has new floors as well as 2/3 of the NOS nose is complete. The doors and deck lid are original and matching numbers. The hood is not matching numbers. Currently, it is in epoxy primer and most of the components are already restored. The original windshield frame has been restored. Bill Brown restored the brakes and drums. The Transmission/ complete rear end was rebuilt by Vic Skirmants. The Gauges have been restored. There is an new wiring harness included with the sale. The sale will include 9 wheels including 4 repros and 5 originals. There are 5 new Firestone tires and 1 original continental tire. It has a Hazet Tool Kit. So basically it will need to have its front fenders tied into the body and the NOS nose welded on for the body to be complete. After the body work , it will just have to be put back together. The engine is not matching numbers but is era correct. The engine has been rebuilt but has not ran yet. The original color was ivory with black interior. The VIN 80656.
