1954 Porsche Pre-A Speedster For Sale

The 1954 Pre-A Porsche Speedster is a rare bird. There were only 200 examples built in 1954 before the 356A started production. Gullwing Motorcars has this red Pre-A speedster for sale. It has nice patina and is said to be a good daily driver. The downside is that the engine is not matching numbers which would explain the discounted price. Seller states it currently has 356B engine installed and runs strong. I think due to its rarity, buyer will still come running despite the incorrect engine. At the Bonhams Zoute Sale in October of 2016, a beautiful white 4 owner 1955 Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster sold for a staggering $617,438 US Dollars. This car is matching numbers and held multiple Concours class wins. Its is also eligible for the Mille Miglia. The red speedster may not be Concours correct but its a highly desireable car that will continue to appreicate in the years to come. I dont think it will take long before it finds a new home.
