1958 Porsche 356A 1600 Super Speedster

Spotted in San Diego is a 1958 Porsche 356A 1600 Super Speedster for $335,000 USD.   Only 552 1600 Super Speedster were produced making them very rare and highly collectible today. This Speedster has been with its owner for many years and was restored by a Porsche specialist. The restoration was done right and the Porsche is in amazing condition today. This car fires right up and drives like a dream. Always garaged, well maintained and regularly exercised. “Super” was reserved for the higher-horsepower pushrod engines. Extremely well-documented example. Car will come with great service records and so on. Whoever the new owners may be; they will have nothing but a great time owning this very special speedster.

1966 Porsche 912 Vintage Race Car

Spotted in Colorado Springs is a 1966 Porsche 912 Vintage Race Car for $39,995 USD.   This is a non-sunroof coupe that has been raced for many years.   It has campaigned in PCA and Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing by an ex-Navy pilot.   It was built and refined to be a reliable car – not a hand grenade. On tight tracks, it can still give many 911s a serious run for the money. With the theme of reliability, the engine was built with Weber 40 IDF Carbs, header with custom ‘stinger’ Supertrapp muffler. It runs 3 oil coolers – the stock one

Mercedes 190E 2.3-16V Found in Boston

Spotted in Boston is a Mercedes 190E 2.3-16V Found in Boston for $11,000 USD.  These cars seem to be climbing in price.   Only 2000 examples were built.  This example seems like it has potential to be a good buy.   It has 160k miles but looks to be in good condition.   One interesting upgrade is that the seller has installed 500E Brake Calipers and Rotors on this car.  Everything is said to work as it should.   I have never driven one but I heard they are pretty slow in stock form.  There seems to a pretty good following for these cars.  I would like the opportunity to drive one especially a race version.  They were very competitive with the E30 M3 on the racing circuit in the 1980s and 1990s.

1985 Mercedes 190E Ex-Team Snobeck

Competition vehicle Without registration

Spotted in Paris is a 1985 Mercedes 190E Ex-Team Snobeck up for Auction.    Launched in 1976, the French production championship (which became Supertourism in 1989) enjoyed huge popularity in the 1980s. The cars were easily recognizable: BMW 635, Peugeot 505 Turbo, Rover Vitesse or Chevrolet Camaro, spectacularly jousting with each other in the hands of well-known and popular racing drivers, such as Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Jean-Marc Sourd, Jean-Pierre Malcher, Jean Ragnotti, Jean-Pierre Jarier, Claude Ballot-Lena, Xavier Lapeyre, Jean-Louis Schlesser, as well as Jean-Louis Trintignant.
The Mercedes 190 E we are offering raced in this atmosphere, and was a part of the racing team of Dany Snobeck, a high level racing driver, tuner and excellent team manager. The Team Snobeck Racing was one of the great leaders of the production championship, often right at the front row, with both the Alfa Gtv6s and the Mercedes 190s.

1971 Porsche 917/10 Can Am Replica

Spotted is a 1971 Porsche 917/10 Can Am Replica for $80,000 USD.  The seller says this car was built to resemble JO Siffert’s car.  It has 2 2007 Subaru Tribeca EZ30 Engines bolted together at the crankshaft.  Insane!  The front engine is set up at Top Dead Center on cylinder one and the rear engine is set on cylinder six. The next cylinder in the firing sequence. The front engine will talk to the Megasquirt MS3 Pro Evo computer and then the signals will be split to the injectors and coils.  The seller needs additional guidance to set up the computer wiring to run correctly.   This is a ambitious project but I am eager to see these running on the track one day.
