1988 BMW M3 Project

Spotted in South Shore, Boston is a 1988 BMW M3 Project for $20,000 USD.  The seller states the car does not drive.  It will need some paint work.  It only has 90,000 original miles.   If you are looking for an E30 M3, this maybe a good lead to follow up on.  Recently, a white BMW M3 with 35,000 original miles sold for $115,000 so the demand is rising.

Would you take on this M3 Project?

Mercedes 560 SEL With Rare Seating Option

Spotted in Denver is a Mercedes 560 SEL With Rare Seating Option for $6,999 USD.  These are great sedans when Mercedes cars were bullet proof.  I love this generation.   I have never seen this seating option in an SEL before.  This looks like an SEC seating configuration swapped into a 560SEL.  The rear seats have independent 2 way adjustable heated seats.

Do you think this is a factory option ?

Mercedes W126 Glove Box TV, AMG Steering Wheels , and AMG Gauge Cluster Found in Illinois

Mercedes W126 AMG Glove Box TV, AMG Steering Wheel, and AMG Gauge Cluster

Spotted in Illinois is a Mercedes W126 AMG Glove Box TV, AMG Steering Wheel, and AMG Gauge Cluster for $2,899 USD. These parts have been removed from a Japanese w126 SEC wide body AMG. The pre-merger AMG steering wheel has some scratches but both horn buttons work properly but includes the wheel hub as well. The instrument cluster has AMG white faces which are metal and not cheap paper imitations. The cluster shows in Kilometers not Miles.  By far the best item in this auction is the AMG Glove Box Panasonic TV with all accessories and the remote control.  Nothing screams 1990s AMG than this TV.  I doubt the reception was ever that good but it spoke volumes of the decade of excess.  The TV console has a small storage department with cup holders when the door is open. The seller does not know if the TV is functional.

What do you think of these AMG items?

1990 BMW E30 M3 2.5L

Spotted today a 1990 BMW E30 M3 2.5L for $25,000 USD. I normally would not look at salvage titled cars but this one has something of interest to me. The seller states this car has a stroked 2.5 Evo Engine putting out 280hp. Of course, I would want to see documentation and get a PPI before entering a deal like this. I would love to have a 2.5 engine to put into an E30 M3 for track purposes.

What should the price be?
What you consider a salvage titled car?

Spotted is a 1955 Porsche Speedster Project for $250,000 USD. The seller states this car is complete other than the interior and top fabric. It will come with a 56-58 carpet kit. The speedster already has new floors as well as 2/3 of the NOS nose is complete. The doors and deck lid are original and matching numbers. The hood is not matching numbers. Currently, it is in epoxy primer and most of the components are already restored. The original windshield frame has been restored. Bill Brown restored the brakes and drums. The sale will include 9 wheels including 4 repros and 5 originals. There are 5 new Firestone tires and 1 original continental tire. It has a Hazet Tool Kit. So basically it will need to have its front fenders tied into the body and the NOS nose welded on for the body to be complete. After the body work , it will just have to be put back together. The engine is not matching numbers but is era correct. The engine has been rebuilt as well.

What do you think of this Speedster?

Spotted in California is a 1959 Porsche 356A for $14,000 USD. This is VIN 105155 with a salvage title. The paint code is 703 which is a great color of Meissen Blue. Production year 1958 Model year 1959. This vehicle was involved in a rollover accident in 1972. It is missing the engine which was originally believed to be engine number 71372.
