Location: New Mexico
VIN  9111121575
Motor# 6116190
Odometer 72,838

1971 Porsche 911T found in Roswell, New Mexico.    Its a rare Karmann Body car with only 1000 produced.   The seller says he has owned this car since 1972.   It looks like a good solid car.  It retains its original motor and 5 speed transmission.   It has fresh pain in a dark silver but the original color was burgundy red (code 2424).    Seller states the car has been given new trim, seals, tires, master cylinder , brake pads, and window seals.   It also has a new carb kit, rebuilt fuel bump , new gas tank, and new brake lines.    He also has the original front and rear bumpers to the car.    Also the car came from the factory with S trim.

I would still like to see interior and engine bay pictures. but this car seems fairly priced.

G-Class Production Facility in Graz, Austria

G-Class Production Facility in Graz, Austria

I am a big fan of the G-Class cars so it exciting to find an enthusiast that has been to the factory in Graz, Austria.   Luckily they didnt have a problem with him photographing the production line.  If anyone is curious to see pictures of the production facility in Graz, Austria where they hand build the G-Glass , here are some great photos.   Can you believe over 3 miles of wiring is used on each car!  These cars are all  hand built since 1979.  You dont find the build quality that you do in these handmade cars anymore.  The doors make a great sound when closing which gives it a vault like feeling.    As a testament to their quality, it is difficult to find a USA version of the 2002 G-Class under $20,000 right now even with high mileage (150,000 miles plus.)   People are discovered what great cars they are and have helped their resale value.   While most cars continue to depreciate to a fraction of their original costs, the G Class is able to keep proving to the world how good they really are.

1961 Porsche 356B Roadster For Sale in Hawaii

Location: Hawaii

Odometer: 300 miles after full restoration

these Porsche 356 cars have been popping up for sale more frequently it seems.  I have seen sellers offer basket case roadsters that require full rotisserie restoration for 100k plus.   For another 50k more to have a full restored and ready to drive car is very appealing.   No need to wait 2 years and endless check writing to get it done.  This particular car is a  beautiful green 1961 Porsche 356  Roadster that is for sale in Hawaii.   It is painted in  Auratium Green with a new tan interior.  It has a wood Nardi steering wheel.  The electrical system has been converted to 12 volt.  The 1720 cc engine was built by Alan Klingen of “The Stable” in San Francisco.    Worth Checking out.

What are your thoughts on this car?

1960 Porsche 356 Super 90 Cabriolet For Sale

1960 Porsche 356 Super 90 Cabriolet For Sale

Location:  San Francisco , California
Price $163,000 US Dollars

This is a Concours ready fully restored Porsche 356 Super 90 Cabriolet.    I has its Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and is a complete matching numbers car.    The seller hired Tim Goodrich for the restoration and rebuilt the motor with Jim Rinker.   It has new floors and longitudinals.   No expense for originality was spared.   There is nothing more to do on this car.   Just get in and drive it.    With 356A coupe project cars in the $80,000 range,  this looks to be a steal.   I dont think you can spend $80k in restoration costs and get the car to this standard.

In 1960 , a customer could choose between a 1.6 Liter engine in 60 and 70 horsepower versions.   There was a third option which was the Super 90 which gave you 90 horsepower!     This engine also known as the 616/7 was targeted to the American buy who always wanted more power.    Porsche built this engine option with increased intake charge with larger valves, increased lift on the cam intake lobes and higher ratio rocker arms in new magnesium carriers.  Aluminum push rods replaced the former steel units on engines with aluminum cylinders to match expansion under heat.  The Super 90’s 40mm dual Solex carbs and matching air cleaners were sourced from the Carrera Engine.   The Super 90 engine combined with suspension and tire refinements to make the 356B the best road-going Porsche ever to that point, and today the model is a time-honored classic.

1963 Porsche 356B Project Car

Location: California

VIN:  212881

Salvage Car

Another basket case car, just like the Vacaville Porsche 356.   This is in no better shape but it also has an intact VIN number.  This can still be a good purchase for the right restoration.  This car will most likely go to Europe.   I love all 356 cars and if possible they should all be restored.  They are fun to drive and always put a smile on your face especially the Speedsters.

1956 Porsche 356 A Cabriolet

Location: San Carlos

Odometer: 38,657 Miles

Price: $119,000

This is a Porsche 356A convertible for sale in San Francisco Area.   It is being sold by San Francisco Sports Cars.   These are beautiful little cars that are climbing in value especially the 356A cars.   The price is low because this is a non matching car.  The engine and transmission are from a 356C car.  The brakes are disc brakes from a 356C but the original brakes are in a box and are included with the car.   The top is not original but replaced at some point so its in decent shape.   I saw a matching numbers car for sale recently above $190,000 USD.    Its going to be next to impossible to find the original engine but finding a period correct engine will be the next best thing.  Body  and paint look to be in good shape for a daily driver.   It would definitely be a nice addition to anyone’s collection.
